This male Guinea Fowl was active, but not angry. He was happily walking around his crate. I found the head and neck of this bird fascinating. If you haven't seen this bird before you need to know that the almost naked neck ends abruptly in a round, compact body of long thing dark feathers which give way to a dappled gray feather that is quite charming. A farming friend told me that having a few of these birds in your yard would eliminate any tick problems you might have as they are voracious and find ticks tasty!
