At the end of the day if I haven't been able to paint something it is typical that I'll grab whatever fruit is around and paint it. It used to be that I would paint Dottie (my dog) but without her around fruit seems to be a poor but steady substitute. The text is clear on the page. I used a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen to sketch the clementine, and then painted it with Schmincke gouache. The first couple months of 2008 I found that I was very attracted to orange, and used it a lot in my paintings.
