journal page

Some of my journal pages had a lot of writing on them. This is an example of one of those pages, "writos" and all. The rocks are spectacular up north, Thomsonite is just one example. It really is that gaudy (and beautiful all at once). It is formed in the basalt. I was told it has to do with the cooling rate of the rocks. Minerals cooling at different rates get caught in the basalt, where weathering action from the waves exposes them.
