Janice, Heather, and I broke up the day at the Science Museum with a speed drawing session (five 5-minute sketches). We decided to focus on the architecture surrounding the museum and visible through its windows. This is a quick sketch of a downtown St. Paul street looking towards the Landmark center. I used a black Pentel Color Brush.
Tip: when selecting a speed drawing location avoid places like a "musical" stairway. At the Science Museum when someone walks on this stairway notes are sounded. It can be quite annoying when kids "get" where the music is coming from and start bounding about. I can zone a lot out, but this is LOUD. |
