I have to admit I prefer this type of life drawing. The models are a lot less cooperative when it comes to holding a pose, but the experience is also faster paced. I'm always thrilled when I can get a entire form captured and not just a foot, or beak, or muzzle, or wing, or tail.
I didn't know it yet but this was to be the start of a long, hot summer! I was standing in the sun painting and forgot to go and meet my friend Janice in the Aquatic House. She came out to call me on her cell phone and spotted me. I rarely space out like that. It was the heat (we later found out it had been close to 90 and it was very humid). I even remember my watch timer going off. |
