This is a 7 inch square journal made with drawing paper which I nevertheless enjoy painting on. I'm visiting the Como Zoo. A lot of people stopped and talked to me on this day. While I painted this giraffe a couple of women with their combined group of kids that they were homeschooling stopped to talk to me. The eldest boy (about 13 or 14 years old) was excited to see an adult sketching. I asked if he sketched and he pulled out a new commercially bound hardcovered sketchbook that he'd just started working in. I spent some time giving him some booktitles to look into. That's almost as much fun as sketching. |
