I painted this pear on a prepainted background (blue and raw sienna) using Holbein Gouache. I wanted to see how thinly I could work, while still covering most of the pen lines (Staedtler Pigment Liner). There is a really nice granulation with the blue gouache. This is also a lot thicker than I usually work. I think I am a frustrated oil painter (allergies prevent me from working in oils). |
