Here I am still at the Minnesota Zoo, still working with the Pilot Hi Tec V3 which has such a fine point. I don't know what type of bird this is as we couldn't find any signage that showed it. About the size of a small turkey, this bird was all black with a pompadour of grey feathers on its head. Really quite stunning.
The zoo was supposed to be closing so we decided to stay put and sketch until closing was announced. I spent these last 15 minutes trying to get as many poses of this bird down as possible. The fine, thin point of this pen isn't conducive to quickly shading in black areas, but it is fun to use. |
