We live in a neighborhood that is full of crows. Huge flocks nest near the Mississippi. When this entry was made I was finding a number of small animals (mice, shrews, etc.) dead. Worried that someone was putting out poison and killing the small animals I began to pick them up before the crows could get them and have the poison pass higher up the food chain. (The animals I found looked like they had been killed with strychnine.)
