This is another pre-class sample created for my year-long nature journaling class. It too was drawn at the Bell Museum. It shows a thumbnail sketch of a diorama and a more detailed sketch of one of the specimens. The sketchbook contained Rives BFK tan paper. I used watersoluble colored pencil for the sketch. A few pen lines help define the darkest darks. Rives BFK takes light watercolor washes and watersoluble colored pencil very well.
