Karen made the above pencil sketch of me as I was sketching a cow parsnip. If you realize that I am 5 feet 2.5 inches tall, you get an idea of the scale of these plants. And yes I am wearing my neck gaiter. It was cool all weekend, and frankly it also kept the mosquitoes off my neck. About 10 minutes after this sketch was made the sun came out and it got quite warm standing in the clearing. Off came the neck gaiter.
Since I have trouble drawing people (something I always tell myself I'm going to work on) I am just amazed by this drawing of Karen's. She got my fanny pack, my braids. It's amazing. I am so grateful to have artistic friends. They really make my life interesting. |
