This is one of my favorite journal cards from the Poultry Barn. I'm looking at a rooster and doing a quick sketch of its bodyshape and proportions (right) while also making a diagram of its feather colors (you can see there were a lot of feather colors on this bird, top left diagram), and also making a quick study of the negative space between his legs (bottom left).
I feel really energized after I make these kinds of "pages." I feel hyper-connected to what I have been observing. |
