I decided that a little experimental texture might be fun for the carving project. One thing about a month long project it isn't quite long enough to force me out of some habits. Now that the project is over it feels like I should still be carving, but during the project I was too caught up in deciding what to carve to realize the habit was forming. The 30 minutes a day I spent on average is more than I want to spend each day for a year, but I think a year would really push me to break out of bad habits and patterns and into new methods.
