Caller ID showed that Linda had called without leaving a message. I had a bad feeling. When I called her back she told me that she had put Cristo down today. I was right, the sketches I did when he visited in August would be the last ones I did of him. Cristo was a special dog. If he wanted attention he would go into Linda's kitchen and rattle the platters stored at the base of her kitchen island.
