I took my friend Tom to the airport on the 28th. I arrived early so I wouldn't get stuck in traffic reaching him. While he finished eating I drew flowers in his garden. (They have some very interesting plants!) This is definitely a case of a sketch that I like more than the final carving. I think I went too dark. But I did allow myself to do a vertical that wasn't the regulation size. I thought that since I had a horizontal exception, with only a few days left in the month, I should have a vertical exception too!
