This is the final page spread of this journal. I'm happy to say I made it. I was just writing my notes around this sketch when midnight struck.
As I look back on my 2005 journals I see some interesting changes (more writing creeping in) and some interesting trends (many more paintings outside of the journals). For me, the more productive I can be in gathering information and observations with my journals it seems the more I also feel compelled to do personal projects outside the journals. As 2006 started I was in the happy position of urgently burning through pages with sketches and experiments which pushed me in new directions. I can't think of a better way to start a new year. |
